RAGAS in Canada
We are a group of dedicated Rotarians (and friends of Rotarians) committed to working together from across the nation, to raise awareness about Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery. We are proud to support our partners and to help connect you to one another by providing safe and reliable resources as you host events and campaigns in your community.
RAGAS in Canada was originally founded by members of District 7080. We continue to be thankful for partner districts’ support as together, we pave the way for more Rotarians to join the cause.
Who We Are
RAGAS in Canada is one of 63 countries working together world-wide, as we strive to end Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery here at home and beyond. We want to eradicate human trafficking and modern slavery in our country and we are confident that to make it a Rotary initiative, is the right answer to getting it done. We are a group of Rotarians from across Canada who have come together to establish a single, one stop-shop to allow Canadians to access the right information, potential partners, and resources to help the get this job done. We also want to make it as easy as possible for Rotary Clubs, Clusters, Districts, and Zones to connect with one another and the teams around you, to raise awareness of this horrific crime against humanity.
What We Do
We strive to lead everything we do with the voice of, and respect for, the survivors we represent and we leverage our partnerships with specialized and well recognized organizations, who are devoted to doing the same. As Rotarians, we also lead with service in mind and are committed to raising awareness in Canada in a safe and ethical manner. The relationships we continue to establish with survivors and with our partners, is essential. We graciously accept all of the information that they, as subject matter experts, share with us so that we can then share it with you. Our goal is to ensure that when you want to host an event or fundraiser to support a local group doing this work in your community, that you can find out who that is, how you might support them, and how you might gather other Rotarians and neighbours to join you in your mission.

RAGAS in Canada was founded to support the fight to eradicate human trafficking by raising awareness and connecting Rotarians across Canada to one another, to practical resources, and to those doing the hard work in local communities.
